Divination by using cards is known as CARTOMANCY . Traditionally playing cards were used by now there are myriad of Tarot decks on the market for rootworkers to explore. It is important to buy a separate deck specifically used for divination and that they are to be treated with respect as a spiritual tool. It is advised to keep them wrapped in a nice cloth or scarf and in a safe place when not in use. If you plan to read cards, you must never gamble with cards again—that is the truth of the cards. NINE—an ill-fated card, meaning sickness, losses, troubles and family dissensions. ○often times with this ill-fated card it is accompanied by a drastic change or a flash of inspiration. EIGHT—a warning with regard to any enterprise in hand. KING—a good hearted man, with strong affections, emotional, and given to rash judgements, possessing more zeal than discretion. He is the sensitive type. QUEEN—a fair woman, loving and lovable, domesticated, prudent and faithful. She is creative and powerful. Often times may refer to a woman who is emotionally stable and independent. JACK—not endowed with any sex. Sometimes taken as Cupid; also as the best friend of the inquirer, or as a fair person’s thoughts. The cards on either side of the knave are indicative of the good or bad nature of its intentions. ○if this card follows a King it will be a kind friend that you have or will meet. If this card follows a Queen she is far from shy and will speak her mind without apology. TEN—a sign of good fortune. It implies a good heart, happiness, and the prospect of a large family. It contents bad cards and confirms good ones in its vicinity. NINE—the wish card. It is the sign of riches, and of high social position accompanied by influence and esteem. It may be affected by the neighbourhood of bad cards. EIGHT—the pleasures of the table, convivial (welcoming) society. Another meaning implies love and marriage. Means you could be invited to a party if the Three of Hearts are in the same spread. SEVEN—a faithless, inconsistent friend who may prove an enemy.

about this friend. If the card is surrounded in an overall positive cards, it could potentially mean a reunion with an old friend. CLUBS • The suit of clubs represents enterprise, entrepreneurship, creative integrity, inner development, business, and loyalty; its symbol is respectively the wand. Fire element.
ACE—wealth, a peaceful home, industry, achievement of goals, change, success and general prosperity; finally getting your due. KING—a dark man of upright, high-minded nature, calculated to make an excellent husband, faithful and true in his affections. Honest man who works hard for what he gets. Sometimes, it means that this man can be also eccentric. QUEEN—a dark woman, with a trustful, affectionate disposition with great charm for the opposite sex, and unsusceptible to male attractions. This card could also represent a woman who is confident, intelligent and with considerable occult knowledge and/or capabilities. Sometimes these kinds of women are described as tough as nails with piercing eyes. JACK—a generous, trusty friend, who will take trouble on behalf of the inquirer. Often times described as intense, stubborn but an overall good person. He can sometimes be envious of others. QUEEN—a fair woman, given to flirtation, fond of society and admiration. Often times, she is genuine, trustworthy friend and confidante (A person with whom one shares a secret or private matter, trusting them not to repeat it.) JACK—a near relative who puts his/her own interests first, is self-opinionated, easily offended, and not always quite straight. It may mean a fair person’s thoughts. ○if this card follows a King he is goal-oriented with a strong disposition. if this card follows after a Queen, she is creative and friendly. TEN—plenty of money, a husband or wife from the country, and several children. This is the luckiest card in the suit. It promises all good things that life has to offer. NINE—this card is influenced by the one accompanying it; if the latter be a court card, the person referred to will have his capacities discounted by a restless wandering disposition. It may imply a surprise connected with money, or if in conjunction with the eight of spades it signifies crossed swords. EIGHT—a marriage late in life, which will probably be somewhat checkered. ○this card often indicates the person should take a chance. SEVEN—this card has various meanings. It enjoys the need for careful action. It may imply a decrease of prosperity. Another reading connects it with uncharitable tongues.
