CHAOS DWARFS — Expansion —
ARMY LISTS 1 Situated to the east of Worlds Edge Mountains and the west of the Mountains of Mourn lies the Darklands: a vast area of exposed rock and dotted with enumerable volcanos and sthrewn with ash. The lands is bathed in near perputal darkness punctated by the flows of lava and the rain of ash from the skies. The lands is not uninhabited however, countless tribes and clans of greenskins: orcs, goblins and snotlings partake in raids against each other and other countless enemies in the foothills and basins of the Darklands. The mighiest inhabitants of this realm of darkness is not the greenskins, but a decendenat of the dwarfs, the chaos dwarfs. The product of the last incursion of Chaos from the north the Chaos Dwarfs have grown strong and multiplied. As the Chaos Dwarfs are not numerous when compared to other races and thus they have sought out allies. Being dwarfs they are faboulously weathy and employ many mercenaries with the promise of riches. Because of this they field forces of many greenskins to bolster their ranks, something no dwarf would ever do showing their further depravity and decend into the twisted whims of Chaos.

Alignment: Chaos Dwarfs and boar centaurs are Chaotic. Orc, goblins, and hobgoblins are Evil. Pyschology: Chaos Dwarfs hate dwarfs. Chaos dwarf beserkers are subject to frenzy. Units of Orcs and Goblins are subject to animosity against other Orc and Goblin units. Goblins hate Dwarfs and Gnomes and fear units of Elves of more than half their numeric strength. Hobgoblins are not subject to animosity rules as other goblinoids. Hobgoblins carrying their standard are subject to frenzy. NOTE: These rules supercede the rules for chaos dwarf associating with goblinoids listed on WFB, p214.

Wizards
The army may contain a maximum of four wizards. Wizards can act as either champions or independent characters. The maximum number of wizards available at each level is given below: All spells are generated randomly from the appropriate level of the Battle Magic chart except as noted below. Chaos Dwarf wizards may generate up to one Elemental, one Necromantic, and one Daemonic spell from each of the levels available to them instead of Battle Magic spells of the same level. Goblin wizards may generate up to one Elemental, one Necromantic, one Illusionist and up to two Daemonic spells from each of the levels available to them instead of Battle Magic spells of the same level. Champions
Level 5 and 10 heroes must be assigned to specific units as leaders, unless designeted as the army standard bearer. “Hero-leaders” are referred to as champions. Champions are part of the units the are assigned to an cannot leave it (see WFB, p93). Black Orc, Orc, Hobgoblin and Goblin Characters Champions are normally the same race as their unit, but Black Orcs may lead any goblinoid units except for hobgoblins. Orcs may lead any goblinoid unit except for Black Orcs. Hobgoblins may only lead Hobgoblin units. Level 15, 20 and 25 heroes may be assigned to specified units as champions if the player wishes. Alternatively, they may be left 1as independent characters, free to associate with any unit in the normal way (see WFB, p90).

ARMY LISTS Magic Items for Characters
Characters can carry a limited number of magical items - paying the points indicated on the Magic Items Chart (p13). These are paid for from the character model point allowance and selected from the followiung list: Any character model may carry one magical weapon with up to three magical attributes. A level 20 character my carry a weapon with up to four attributes and a level 25 character may carry a weapon with up to five attributes. Wizards may have up to to three scrolls each. Each scroll may contain up to three different level one or two spells. Up to three character models may wear a single ring with a spell of level one, two, or three. Up to three character models may be equipped with magic armour. The army standard may have up to two magical abilities at 100 points each.
RANK & FILE A minimum of one third of the army’s total points must be spent on rank and file troops. Any unit may be given a unit standard bearer and/or a musican.Standard bearers and musicains must be equipped in exactly the same way as the rest of the unit. Standard bearers and musicians cost double the points value of a basic trooper. Any unit indicated may convert an ordinary standard to a magical standard with a single ability. The ability may have a points value up to the amount shown. The specific ability must be chosenand noted down before the game (see WA, p16). Any unit indicated may convert an ordinary musical instrument to a magical instrument with a single ability. The ability may have a points value up to the amount shown and must be chosen and noted down before the game (see WA, p16). Hobgoblins must carry their own standard into battle. Full rules for Hobgoblin standards are detailed on WFB, p221-222. Hobgoblins are not required to display the standard in a wagon. This superceeds WA, p221.

MERCENARIES Chaos Dwarfs possess fantastical wealth given their rich mines and the tactic of stripping all available resources in an area their raids and hauling the spoils back to the Darklands. The player of a Chaos Dwarf army may spend up to one third of the army’s total points on mercenaries. Mercenaries must be assembled using the Mercenary Section (WA, p150), and chosen from the following lists: Giants Hobgoblin Ogres Half Orcs
BAGGAGE (see WFB, p102) Following the chaos dwarf army is a well ogrnazised and disciplined baggage train as befits their dwarven heritage. Despite their twisted and dark ways, chaos dwarfs plan far ahead and haul all the needed provisions and equipment while on campaigns ranging across the Old World, Darklands and distant Cathay. The baggage is accompanied by young Chaos Dwarfs who have not yet claimed their place in battle, sulking hobgoblins and malformed chaos goblins. Numerous impliments of toture are also included for extracting information from unwilling captives who will all too soon be scaraficed to the hungry god of the dwarfs of chaos. A chaos dwarf baggage train is represented by one wagon and 5 followers per 1,000 points in the army. These have standard Chaos Dwarf profiles with improvised weapons.
ALLIES Chaos Dwarfs are as suspicious as their dwarven kin and of all other races. Because of this, Chaos Dwarfs are wary of calling upon allies to fight in their battles. Most often they will entice chaos allies from the Chaos Wastes or tribes of Orcs and Goblins that they have not subjugated for their slaves, powering their war machine. The player of a Chaos Dwarf army may spend up to a third of the army’s total points on allies. The allies must be assembled using the rules given on pages 126-149 of the Warhammer Armies rulebook. The player may choose from the following lists:
