PIEZAS DE DESLIZAMIENTO DE VIGA Y CUNA DE LA CORREDERA.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The feed is constructed so that when it is in minimum length, can short holes be drilled and when it is in maximum length , can long holes be drilled. The feed extension can run smoothly between minimum and maximum. When drilling in minimum length, the feed pressure goes to the feed cylinder and the cylinder tube (1) moves forward. The piston rod (2) is mounted to the rear end of beam. Bracket (3) and the hose reel (4), mounted to the cylinder tube (1), moves with the cylinder tube (1). The doubled travel speed of the rock drill (5), comparing to the cylinder tube (1), is done by wire ropes (6 and 7) and idle wheels (8 and 9), mounted to the bracket (3) and hose reel (4). When drilling long holes, the inner tube (10) is run out by hydraulic cylinder (11), which is mounted from the other end to the inner tube (10) and another end to the beam (12). The front centralizer / buffer (13) is strutted to the rock by feed extension cylinder, which is mounted to the front centralizer and boom cradle. The feed beam moves on the boom cradle by hydraulic cylinder (14). 13

CYLINDER FEED TTF 500 Maintenance and repair 7.4. Adjusting slide pieces The slide pieces normally require no adjustments when replaced, as the pieces are located to correct clearances at the beam centre line with the aid of locating shoulders on the carriers and the slide piece supports. If the slide pieces are so worn that the clearance is more than 3 mm, the clearance can be adjusted to the specified value with the oval holes in the carriages. This is done by using thin steel plates if necessary between the shoulder of carrier and slide piece support. After adjustment, the screws are tightened to max. 120 Nm.

ADJUSTING WIRE TIGHTNESS
A new wire tends to stretch at first until the wire strands have become somewhat straightened. Therefore, retighten the wires after replacement when, for instance, one round has been drilled. Adjustment is done when the wire is unloaded and the hose guide drum is in the rear position. 1. Adjust the return wire at the wire end connected to the hose support. The wire end is provided with a threaded piece and locking nuts. D Open the locking nut (2) at the hose support and use the other nut (1) to tighten the wire. Use a suitable tool to prevent the wire from turning. D Tighten the locking nut (2). Rear view

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
16.1. Each shift 1. Visually check the condition of the components and hoses. Report possible faults at once. 2. Check the inside of the feed beam for loose rocks and excessive amounts of drill cuttings. Remove as necessary.
16.2. Every week 1. Wash the feed with a high–pressure washer as often as possible at least once a week. 2. Check the sliding clearances of the carriages and the condition of the slide pieces. Adjust or replace as necessary. 3. Check the tightness and condition of the feed wire. Adjust as necessary. 4. Check the tightness of bolts and nuts. If a self–locking nut has loosened, replace it. If an ordinary bolt connection loosens repeatedly, use a self–locking nut or chemical thread locking compound. 5. Check the tightness of the hoses. Adjust as necessary. 6. Crease all lubrication points
