Process description: In this process Nitric Acid is produced by the catalytic reaction of compressed air and vaporized ammonia. Liquid ammonia is vaporizing by Vaporizer from liquid ammonia tank through pump. At vaporizer got the ammonia at 8 bar.g and 25 0C. similarly air is compressing by Compressor from environment, getting the compressed air at 250 0C and 8 bar.g. But in Reactor the reaction of compressed air and ammonia is carried out at 900 0C. The reaction is producing the product gases are NO & NO 2 and other unreacted gases. After this the stream is going to scrubber and form the Nitric Acid.
