Test the student by saying: • Let’s do a short test. Introduce yourself. (Trainer starts “Hi my name is …”) The student should use his/her full name first and then add in “Please call me ”. The student should also repeat the other person’s name to feel a little closer to them.
3. Reinforce the goal of the lesson by asking a few questions like: • Do you sometimes talk about your hometown with people? • Are you from a big city or a small city? • Is it near Tokyo?

Practice using “So”, “Oh”, and “And” in your conversation. Also, be sure to give your answer, add some details, and ask a question to continue the conversation. Example: “Where do you live?” → “Oh, I live in Fujisawa. It’s a small city near Yokohama. And where do you live?“
