Switch (Normally Closed): Aswitch that willopen at a specified point (temp, press, etc.). No circle indicatesthat the wire cannot be disconnected from the component. Ground(Wired): Thisindicates that the component is connected to a grounded wire. The grounded wire isfastened to the machine. Ground (Case): Thisindicates that the component doesnot have a wire connected to ground. It isgrounded bybeing fastened to the machine. Reed Switch: Aswitch whose contactsare controlled bya magnet. Amagnet closes the contactsof a normallyopen reed switch; it opensthe contacts of a normallyclosed reed switch.
320D2 Forest Machine Electrical System
Sender: A component that isused with a temperature or pressure gauge. The sender measuresthe temperature or pressure. Its resistance changesto give an indication to the gauge of the temperature or pressure.
T
Relay (Magnetic Switch): Arelayis an electricalcomponent thatisactivated byelectricity. It hasa coilthat makes an electromagnet when current flowsthrough it. The electromagnet can open or close the switch part of the relay.
BW21-UP CY21-UP
Solenoid: Asolenoid isan electrical component that isactivated byelectricity. Ithasa coilthat makesan electromagnet when current flowsthrough it. The electromagnet can open or close a valve or move a piece of metal that can do work. MagneticLatchSolenoid: Amagnetic latch solenoid isan electricalcomponent that is activated byelectricityand held latched by a permanent magnet. Ithastwo coils (latch and unlatch) that make electromagnet when current flowsthrough them. It also hasan internal switch that places the latch coilcircuit open at the time the coil latches.
