Procedure: __ 1. Perform Repair Procedure 6.1 to remove the C,K ROS Assembly (PL 5.1 # 4) and set it aside.
__ 2. Locate the black air duct in the ROS cavity cavity in the machine (Figure 1). __ 3. Remove the 5.5MM screw securing the silver conductive tape (Figure 2). __ 4. Carefully fold the conductive tape back to access the opening in the black air duct (Figure 3).
__ 5. Thoroughly clean the duct in the area of the opening with Film Remover and a lint free cloth (Figure 3).
__ 6. Remove the backing from the ROHS compliant compliant Seal and apply the Seal over the opening in the air duct. Align the seal to to the bottom and rear of the duct and, then fold the tape over securing it to the top of the air duct (Figure 4).
__ 7. Reinstall the conductive conductive tape and install the 5.5 MM screw removed in Step 3. __ 8. Reinstall the C,K ROS Assembly. Assembly.

__ 10.. Note: It is recommended that the machine is thoroughly vacuumed to remove any toner contamination in the machine. It is also recommended that the Suction/Ozone Filter (PL 9.1 #1) and the CC Filter (PL 9.3 # 9) are checked for excessive contamination and replaced if contaminated and/or at or near end of life per the HFSI.
