ROAD TO SUCCESS
Emily was the only girl in a humble family in London city. She had a brother who died of cancer the year before and this incident left her devastated for a long time. He was not only the most reliable person for her but also her older brother. Despite of that, she and her family tried to continue with their lives. Her father was a great musician and her mother, a school teacher that gave all of her every day. Emily was an undergraduate high school student who wanted to study a Bachelor of Science degree in Medicine in in the the niversity of !"ford but she couldn#t afford it because her parents barely earned the money needed for living well. She decided to choose this career because her dream was to wor$ on a cure for %ancer and for that reason& she wasn#t going to give up easily. 't the age of (), she had started to wor$ in a small pastry shop where she continued until she graduated. She managed to save some money for her tuition but it wasn#t enough so she decided to apply for a scholarship. 'lthough 'lthough her parents were not agree ag ree with that, she thought she had nothing to lose. Her parents advised her to choose a different career option but she stuc$ to her guns. She waited for ) months until she received the response of the niversity. She was so e"cited and her parents were too. She slowly opened up the envelope to get the letter and started to read aloud. She was admitted. Emily was too pleased and so were her parents. *his was only the first step to go for her biggest dream. Emily started the following wee$, she had a mi" of nervous and an"iety feelings but she moved forward. *he first day was not what she e" pected. She met a girl, g irl, %aroline, who was
determined to ma$e Emily#s life a complete mess. %aroline was the daughter of an important Minister, she was wealthy and could get everything she wanted. She had studied in a well+$nown School in London and she too$ part in different Medical research in 'frica and South 'merica, for everybody she was the perfect student and she $new Emily was good too. n the course of a year, Emily became an outstanding student and her grades were e"cellent, she also -oined a group research in which she made a significant contributive wor$. !ne of her teachers encouraged her to ta$e part in a group of scientists in Switerland but she told her teacher she felt she was not ready yet. %aroline heard about this and created a plan to destroy her. She bought some cocaine and put it in Emily#s purse without she even noticed it, then she warned the dean of the faculty about it and the board of directors as$ed for Emily and chec$ed out her purse. *hey found the evidence. 'lthough she tried to e"plain that wasn#t hers, it was all in vain. *here was no proof to show she was telling the truth. Emily was suspended until the academic board too$ a decision. *here was a %aroline#s friend, *onny, who $new what actually happened and e"plained to the board directors the situation. He said that the cocaine didn#t belong to Emily and the person responsible for that was %aroline. He also told them he had a video of her as evidence. *he board directors saw the video and determined that Emily was innocent and %aroline was e"pelled.
