Engineering mode on ZTE mobile phones ZTE's mobile phone handsets have the ability to display engineering mode information, which is intended for network engineers' information. For information about enabling engineering mode on some handsets, but you meddle with your phone's settings at your own risk! Show the IMEI of the handset
The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a number unique to every GSM and UMTS mobile phone. It is usually found printed on the phone underneath the battery and can also be found by dialling the sequence *#06# into the phone. *983*837#

Use arrows key UP/DOWN to select the page. Use arrows key LEFT/RIGHT to select either the serving cell or the neighbour cell in DualBand only.
It can enter the phone
number to make a voice call directly. Moreover, you can fold up the handset as a temporary for making a voice call/ video call. *983*3640
To quit the engineering mode

Fold up the handset/ press the hang-off key cannot quit the engineering
mode
completely.
It
will
enter
the
engineering mode automatically again by selected other operation.
It should press *983*3640# to quit the
engineering mode.
The display varies from handset to handset, and not all handsets give the same information, so treat this as more of a general guideline than a comprehensive
