En un texto, la forma verbal de participio generalmente se utiliza junto con otros verbos para formar tiempos compuestos, como el que en inglés se denomina tiempo perfecto.

PRESENTE SIMPLE La forma del verbo en tiempo presente simple depende de la persona gramatical con que se usa. Así, cada verbo en inglés solo tiene dos formas posibles: con o sin "-s" final.

PRESENTE PROGRESIVO Si al leer una oración observas que el verbo está conjugado en ti empo progresivo (o contínuo), sabrás que la acción descrita por el verbo se está realizando en ese preciso momento . El presente progresivo se forma con el presente del verbo "to be" más otro verbo al que se le añade la terminación "-ing ". Be + V-ing
Ejemplos:
Presente simple : I write a letter everyday. (Escribo una carta todos los días) Presente progresivo: I am writing a letter now.(Estoy escribiendo una carta ahora.)
PRESENTE PERFECTO
El presente perfecto se compone del presente del verbo "have" más un verbo en participio:
PRESENTE PERFECTO = HAVE/ HAS + V. PARTICIPIO Para comprender una oración escrita en tiempo presente perfecto debes tener en cuenta que en inglés este tiempo se utiliza para: 1 Describir una acción que comenzó en el pasado y que continúa hasta el presente ( y probablemente en el
. futuro). 2 referirse a acciones que pueden o no ocurrir en un tiempo pasado y que tienen alguna conexión con el presente. .
Ejemplos: 1 I haven´t seen him this (No lo he visto esta mañana.) . moprning. 2 I have had lunch. (He almorzado.) . 3 I haven´t flown in Concorde. ( No he volado en Concorde.) . 4 (No ha pasado su examen de He hasn´t passed his driving test. . conducir) 5 Peter Roll has been arrested. (Peter Roll ha sido arrestado.) .
FUTURO SIMPLE / PROGRESIVO / PERFECTO
FUTURO SIMPLE El futuro simple se forma con will y un verbo en infinitivo. Este tiempo verbal se usa para predecir eventos o para decir lo que creemos que sucederá.
Ejemplos: 1 It will rain tomorrow.
(mañana lloverá)

FUTURO PROGRESIVO
El futuro progresivo se forma con "will" más el verbo to be más la forma -ing.
WILL + BE + V.-ING Debes saber que esta forma verbal se usa comúnmente para describir acciones que que estarán en progreso en el futuro inmediato o distante. Además, a menudo se usa para visualizar una actividad futura planeada.
Ejemplos: a) Hurry up! The guests will be arriving at any minute! (Apurate! Los invitados estarán llegando en cualquier minuto.) b A space vehicle will be circling Jupiter in five year´s time. ) ( una nave espacial estará rodeando Jupiter en cinco años.) c) By this time tomorrow, I´ll be lying on the beach. (A esta hora mañana, estaré descansando en la playa.)
EL FUTURO PERFECTO SIMPLE Y PROGRESIVO
I. La forma del futuro perfecto simple es:
WILL HAVE + PAST PARTICIPLE El futuro perfecto se usa para indicar que una acción ya estará realizada en un cierto momento en el futuro. II. La forma del futuro perfecto progresivo es:
WILL HAVE BEEN + V. -ING Se usa para expresar el estado de una situación en una perspectiva futura.
Ejemplos: I. 1. I will have have retired by the year 2020. (por el año 2020 ya habré jubilado.) 2. I expect you will have changed your mind by tomorrow. ( espero que mañana hallas cambiado de idea .) II.1. By this time next week, I will have been working for this company for 24 years. (A esta hora la próxima semana habré estado trabajando para esta compañía 24 años.) 2. We will have been married a year on June 25th. ( Habremos estado casados por un año el 25 de Junio)
PASADO SIMPLE/PROGR./PERFECTO
PASADO SIMPLE Al leer una oración en pasado simple debes saber que en inglés este tiempo se usa para hablar de acciones, eventos o situaciones que ocurrieron en el pasado y que ahora están terminadas.Tales acciones pueden haber sucedido recientemente. Recuerda que la forma del pasado es la misma para todas las personas gramaticales.
Ejemplos: 1 Sally phoned a moment ago. . 2 I smoked 40 cigarrettes a day until I gave . up. 3 I had a word with July this morning. . 4 I never met my grandmother. . 5 I saw Tim downtown.

PASADO PROGRESIVO
Si al leer una oración observas que el verbo está conjugado en tiempo pasado progresivo (o contínuo), debes saber que en inglés este tiempo se usa para describir acciones o situaciones que estaban sucediendo en algún momento en el pasado. Generalmente, el pasado progresivo se usa junto con el pasado simple en una oración El presente progresivo se forma con el pasado del verbo "to be"(was/were) más otro verbo en infinitivo al que se le añade la terminación "-ing ".

Ejemplos: 1 Phil was working in his essay last night. . (Phil estaba trabajando en su ensayo anoche). 2 I was waiting for you last night. . (te estube esperando anoche). 3 John was talking to his girlfriend on the phone when I came in and was still talking to her when I went out an hour later. . (John estaba hablando con su polola por teléfono cuando llegé y seguía hablando con ella cuando me fui una hora después.)

PASADO PERFECTO El presente perfecto se compone de la forma pasada del verbo "have" más un verbo en participio:

PARTICIPIO Para comprender una oración escrita en tiempo pasado perfecto debes saber que en inglés este tiempo: a)Se utiliza principalmente para expresar cuál de dos eventos ocurrió primero en el pasado. b)A veces funciona simplemente como la forma en pasado del presente Perfecto. c)Se usa con verbos como hope, expect, suppose, mean, want, para describir cosas que hubiesemos deseado haber hecho, pero que no hicimos
